Rogue?

Did I need something new to get the creative juices flowing? Yes, I think so. Haha!

I've stumbled upon another interesting writing prompt blog. This one is called Three Word Wednesday, or 3WW for short. You can find this week's post here. Basically, every week there are three new words to use in any way you see fit. This week the words are as follows:

Accelerate; verb: [no object] (of a vehicle or other physical object) begin to move more quickly; increase in amount or extent; adjective (accelerating): go faster.

Passive; adjective: accepting or allowing what happens or what others do, without active response or resistance; chemistry (of a metal) made unreactive by a thin inert surface layer of oxide; (of a circuit or device) containing no source of electromotive force;  (of radar or a satellite) receiving or reflecting radiation from a transmitter or target rather than generating its own signal; relating to or denoting heating systems that make use of incident sunlight as an energy source.

Rogue;
noun: a dishonest or unprincipled man; a person whose behavior one disapproves of but who is nonetheless likable or attractive (often used as a playful term of reproof; [usually as modifier] an elephant or other large wild animal driven away or living apart from the herd and having savage or destructive tendencies; a person or thing that behaves in an aberrant, faulty, or unpredictable way; an inferior or defective specimen among many satisfactory ones, especially a seedling or plant deviating from the standard variety.

I thought maybe a poem was in order for this post. Here goes nothing.

----------

I am usually quite passive.
You, my friend, are massive.

A rogue and deceitful man.
With a daunting master plan.

You have sealed your fate.
For I must now accelerate.

No others will be duped.
My car is being looped.

Now you may rest in peace.
Your actions, they will cease.

I hope she's worth it.

I'm back with another Trifecta post and this one has been a struggle for me. When I was done writing I had 525 words and didn't have anything I wanted to take out. Since I didn't have a choice, that's part of the challenge, I've spent the last hour removing things, and plugging it into Word Count Tool, to make it meet the 333 word limit!

Anywho, you can find this week's post here.

This week's one-word prompt was MANIPULATE. The third definition says "to change by artful or unfair means so as to serve one's purpose : to doctor." With 333 words, I give you "I hope she's worth it."

----------

She watched him manipulate himself for the skinny thing that approached the table. Smiling, he stands and pulls the chair out so she can join him. I'm disgusted. She melts. They appear to be very familiar. Is she the reason he is "too busy" for lunch dates with me? I want to move closer, but first I need to snap some pictures.

I enter the diner, and try not to be seen. I'm seated at a booth a few tables away. I can see them, but they haven't noticed me. He's looking at her as if he's in love. He used to look at me that way. Where did the love go?

They finish lunch and he pays the bill, like he's a gentleman. He stands from his chair and moves to help her. Reaching for her hand, he places his other on the small of her back.  She stands and he escorts her out. I feel physically ill watching this unravel before me. Where do I go from here?

I sit in my car, numb, pondering my next move and decide the pictures need to be handled before I go home. Starting the car, I pull into traffic and make my way to get prints. With pictures in hand, I sit in the lot deciding what to do. My cell rings. It's him. Hesitantly, I answer. He tells me he's going to be stuck at work until midnight. Rage floods my body. He's lying again. I'm no longer sick to my stomach. Now I just want to punch something, or someone.

I make it home in record time and start a fire in the pit. Room by room, I empty his items into bags and drag them out back. Two hours later I'm done, and it's time for me to put pictures where his belongings were. With a margarita in hand I sit in the backyard, waiting, watching his chapter of my life go up in flames.

I hope she's worth it.

Trifextra

YAY! I'm back to make another post in a timely manner.

This week's challenge is slightly different from last week's. It looks like it will alternate weeks between Trifecta and Trifextra! I'm excited for the challenge.

Anywho, you can find this week's post here.

The directions say:

This week we're asking for 33 of your own words inspired by the following picture.  If you use the picture on your blog, you MUST give proper attribution to the photographer by providing a link to the photo, not just to Trifecta.  Failure to comply will eliminate you from the challenge.

Good luck and have fun with it!

Here's the picture -

- and my 33 words - She was sitting at the table, completely engrossed in her studies. She appears to care less what is going on around her. I wonder if that could be me; oblivious or seemingly carefree.

I'll be back soon with a new post, I hope!

Some time to blog..

So it's really been a while since I have sat down and blogged. I have a little bit of free time so here goes :)

The last few weeks have been CRAZY! Between packing, sorting, school, work and everything else under the sun I'm lucky to even have my mind! I'm just about done packing! I've got some sheets and what not to wash up, some clothes to box up, and Keegan's toys to pack and then I'm done. It's really surreal to me still I think. In 3 days I'll be heading 1000+ miles south to a new beginning! Excitement, Nervousness, Wonder, Scared, Nausea, Anxiety, Curious, Overwhelmed are some among many other feelings that are going through me right now. I feel in my heart that everything will be ok. It's just this initial move I think that has my guts in a pretzel shape at the moment.

I've really been slacking on my school work because of this move. There's just been so much to do. I know I shouldn't be slacking on something so important, but on that same note, Keegan and being done with everything are really important. I hope everything will be ok will school and my grades will be back up.

I worked for the last time up here yesterday. I can't really believe it. Like wow, next week I'll have new co-workers! That's nerve-wrecking all in itself since I have no clue what the people are like down there. Most everyone is welcoming, waves to you and has random chit chat with people they don't even know up here. I live in a pretty country small area. I love it! I'm moving to a big city - eh, not so sure I'm going to like it. I guess we'll see!

Keegan is being a little poop-head lately. I guess I can blame it on "Terrible Twos" beginning. He's 16 months now and boy oh boy does he like to throw some temper tantrums! GRRRR! He drives me NUTS-O sometimes! As if I'm not crazy enough already ;))

Justin and I are doing well for the circumstances. I'm stressed out and we are bickering a little because I keep snapping on him. It'll be fine once this move is done and all. I'm so stressed about the drive down and getting everything moved in by ourselves. I just keep telling myself we'll be ok. Everything will go off without a hitch. Or that's how it happens in a perfect world anyway! [ please note this is NOT a perfect world! ]

I REALLY miss designing! I just don't have the time or the creativity these days! My lovely bestie Mandy has also propositioned me to team up with her and create some scraps. That could be in the works once I'm settled in, in Florida. [ keep your eyes open for that ;) ] I did do a paid siggy this week and a few blinkies with the little bit of spare online time that I've had. They turned out pretty good!

Alright, Backyardigans is on and Keegan is wanting to snuggle me and watch them so that's all for now!

Until next time,

Just a bloggin'

Hmm, lets see where to begin? Let's see

1. I got an A- for my final grade in my GEN 105 class! I passed the final with 250/250 points!! :) I'm still waiting for my ENG 101 final grade! I'm sure I did great!

2. Keegan has been sick all week. We went to the doctor on Wednesday; Double Ear Infection & Upper Respiratory! YUCK!! We get a five day anti-biotic to treat both in one. Friday he had a check-up for his last set of shots until he's 5. We go thinking they won't do the shots because he's sick, but.... his ears were very much cleared up and his lungs sounded a lot better. I was soo happy. So he got a combo shot, and his chicken pox vaccine! I'm glad he's up to date and I don't have to worry about shots for a while ;)

3. Justin is icky sicky too. He has been for a week or so and I feel bad for him. Shit, everyone around here has been sick except me! On the subject of Justin, I took him home on Wednesday and I'm not going to see him again until, get this, NEXT WEEKEND! We both have to work this week :( Hopefully Friday I can get him, but if not, we'll definitely be together on Saturday, you know since it's Valentine's Day at all! {insert sappy awwwww here}

4. I have no creativity lately. It sucks! I really wanna make something! It took me like 12 tries just to make an avatar the other day :|

5. I'm still putting off my laundry! I really need to do it. It's seriously overwhelming though! I guess that's all for right now.

Until next time,

Let me know guys!!

Just a lost soul in this path called LIFE

I have finished both of my finals and turned them in [a day early, go me!]. That's a little weight lifted off of my shoulders. I start my second block of classes on Monday. I'm kinda nervous. I wonder what my new professors are going to be like? One is a man and one is a woman, that is all I know so far. I really like my current ENG 101 professor. I hope they are like her. lol. what are the chances right? My next two classes are CIS 105 - SURVEY OF COMPUTER INFORMATION SYSTEMS & ENG 102 - RESEARCH WRITING! Hmmm, the computer class shouldn't be too bad & English, well it's English class! :P I printed both of the calendars and what not, but I haven't had a chance to look over them yet.

On another note, my mom is still in the hospital. She has been really sick for almost a week with an infection in her intestines. and get this, the doctors can't tell her how it got there! She's kept the first day's worth of chicken broth down since Monday yesterday. She hadn't eaten anything, because she was puking so much. I'm just hoping she can come home from the hospital soon. We'll see.

Keegan didn't take a nap all day long, so I guess at around 5:20 when my brother and every left, he just passed out until like 20 til 7. Which sucks! But he wouldn't stay awake. So now here it is after 10 'o clock and he's still awake playing! I'm just having a very blah day today. I worked on school work all day and now I just wanna relax, but I have a 15 month old running old. Well he'll be 15 months old tomorrow. Whatever! Same difference!

Off to creativity, or rather my lack there of. I just really don't have any creative juices flowing! I owe my darling Mandy and few things and I feel horrible that I haven't gotten to them yet. :(

On a more exciting note! Me and Justin were approved for an apartment today, pending the background check, but we're not worried about the background check! The leaser? gave us all of the paper work to send him our security deposit so that's pretty promising ;) Isn't that super exciting! So now, we have one more step to our big move to Florida pretty much completed! I have so many mixed feelings on this. It's becoming crunch time. We have something like 6 weeks maybe? I'm very nervous, since I've never lived anywhere but this 20 mile span around here, and now we're moving literally 1,000 miles out of my comfort zone. We will see what happens! It'll be an adventure! I guess that's all for now

Until next time,
